Hayleigh's Cherished Charms

There are days when I step back and think to myself what an incredibly blessed person I am to be surrounded by such extraordinary people. I want to tell you about one of those people today. Her name is Hayleigh and she is the daughter of a good friend. Remember this dress?

I made this dress for my friend Rachel- you can read about it here. Hayleigh is Rachel's 12-year old daughter. Hayleigh is amazing. She has been wearing hearing instruments for most of her life and in the last couple of years, she decided that rather than hide them, she wanted to dress them up. So she developed a design (and even patented it!) that allows anyone with hearing aids to wear earring-like charms on them. Her designs range from playful themes appropriate for children her age and younger to sophisticated mature designs appropriate for an adult night on the town. One of my favorite designs of hers are these chandeliers:

I also love the colorful Swarovski crystals she used to design these "Simply Striking" charms:

Perhaps you like Hayleigh's designs, but you don't wear hearing instruments? No problem- she'll actually create any of her designs as earrings as well. Or maybe you only wear one hearing instrument and therefore want one charm for your hearing aid and one matching earring for your other ear. She'll do that, too!

Over the last few years as she has developed her business Hayleigh's Cherished Charms, Hayleigh has proven that you don't have to be ashamed of your hearing devices, but that you can embrace them and be completely confident not only letting the world see them, but also dressing them up with sparkly embellishments that suit your personality. Visit her website to read more about her venture and to see all of her designs.
